First of all - oh, it's Sir Sherlock now, is it? Nice little touch there - t'was bound to happen eventually! :P
I do love the way you write John; Series 3 left me wanting to smack him, but you always make me forgive him. I always love 'what-if' fics and this was great and very smart. The second one broke my heart; the possibility that John would be hard-hearted enough not to forgive Sherlock is a difficult one to swallow and I hate Sherlock being lonely. But the ending makes everything better; it's like the ultimate ending and it's a great way to bring them to the finish, with the idea of contentment and happiness.
Oh, and truly? I wouldn't be able to resist Sherlock gazing through his fringe at me either. ^_^
