OH MY GOD. I have never been this hooked on a fiction this early. HurtJohn is a favorite of mine, especially when paired with a distressed/protective/possessive Sherlock, and wow, you've done that.

You have created a beautiful, haunting, aching and yet realistic character piece here. This chapter truly could have been a complete work. I am, however, grateful that you intend to continue it. You need not be in ANY way disheartened about your work. It is clearly in need of no improvement whatsoever.
