FF.net is a really crap place to post fic. The most popular stories there are the worst ones in each given fandom, there is random hate all over the place, and quality work often gets hit with a disproportionate number of flames. I stopped posting there years ago because the readership is very young, very rude, very excited about the prospect of being anonymous on the net, and very stupid.
